European Partnerships

At Galway Community Circus we work with our European partners to promote

  1. Mobility of young people through intra-European training, networking and performance opportunities
  2. Mobility of artists and youth workers through training programmes and opportunities for networking and sharing best practice
  3. Research and development in the field of youth and social circus, funded through the Erasmus+ programme

Most of our engagement with European partners is through the Caravan network.

Caravan Network

The international association Caravan gathers fifteen youth and social circus schools, coming from thirteen European countries. Its objective is to promote circus practices in youth education throughout Europe and to favour their development, through concrete actions such as youth exchanges and training for trainers. Caravan strives to use circus arts to create positive personal, community and social change as well as to advocate for the positive impact of youth and social circus. Caravan operates on local, national and international levels in order to promote the inclusion of circus arts in formal and non-formal education. http://www.caravancircusnetwork.eu/
