Acrobatics workshop with Henrik Gard

On Saturday the 5th and Sunday the 6th of November Galway Community Circus will be hosting an acrobatic workshop with Henrik Gard. Henrik is a Swedish acrobat who has been living in Ireland for the past 3 years.
During the two days of workshops Henrik and the participants will explore acrobatics with a focus on partner acrobatics but handstands, tumbling and flexibility will also be covered. No previous experience in acrobatics is necessary to attend the workshops.

Henrik arrived sailing his boat, and headed for the south of Europe but was caught by a growing circus scene in Ireland. Since moving to Ireland he has been training circus full time and performing in major national and international festivals such as Spraoi,Out there UK and La Rue est à Amiens, France. In 2015 he was chosen for ISACS New Emerging Street Talents programme and later that year he created a sailing circus show entitled “Way of the Coconut” which premiered at the Dublin Fringe festival. This year he has been working with Irish circus companies Fanzini productions and Tumble Circus.
