Youth Circus Film workshop with Stephen Cadwell Featured

Our resident film-maker, philosopher and all round nice guy, Stephen Cadwell will be running a three day film-making workshop for members aged 13-18 years old. The workshops will run from the 12 - 14th August from 10am - 2pm. At the end of the camp the young members will have made a short documentary about Galway Community Circus. The documentary will then be entered into the  "Better Together Video Competition." You do not need equipment or prior experience for this workshop.

The course will cover:

  • Pre-production - Theory, Storyboard, ideas
  • Production - Camera, Sound, Performance
  • Post-Production - Editing, Music, Distribution
Stephen began making films when  he was sixteen. Since then he has produced numerous shorts and documentaries. Most recently he had the opportunity to present a short film at Galway Film Fleadh.

The course is a great opportunity to learn about film and to put your hand to a lasting documentation of Galway Community Circus. Only members of the "Tweenies", "Mustachios" and "Senior" groups of Galway Community Circus may apply. Places are limited to 12 people so book your place quick by contacting
