Our Youth Aerial club provides children and young people aged 8-16 experience in aerial skills. The participants gain experience in trapeze, Aerial rope (corde lisse), Aerial hoop (lyra), and fabrics. As well as being a great way to have fun and learn new skills, aerial work provides numerous health benefits. Everything from physical strength to your mood can be improved through regular participation in aerial activities.

Note: No class during Mid-term break and Bank holidays

All classes are held at Galway Community Circus at St Joseph’s Community Centre, Shantalla. There is a car-park outside the community centre and the bus number 402 brings you directly outside the building. There are toilets and changing rooms at the venue.

What should I wear?

The best type of clothing is training clothes such as leggings, a long tight top, a leotard, or a long sleeve t-shirt. It is advisable to have your skin covered especially for aerial rope. Please make sure there are no zips or sharp objects on your clothing, as these can damage the equipment. Similarly, all jewellery must be removed before class starts.

Remember to bring a bottle of water with you!
